Most people can return to their normal daily activities after treatment. Laser and IPL hair removal generally require little to no recovery time, although temporary redness or sensitivity may occur.

IPL laser hair reduction may be done just about anywhere on the face and body, except your eye area. The treatments are fast. There is also little-to-no recovery time involved. It also helps with ingrown hair.  You can resume your normal activities after each procedure. IPL (laser hair removal) treatment can also help to reduce amount of ingrown hair follicles.

Side effects of IPL hair reduction treatment are similar to effects of laser hair removal and may include blisters, temporary skin irritation, redness, swelling in the treated area, but these symptoms usually subside relatively fast.

The area to be treated must be clean and shaved. Avoid sun exposure two weeks prior to your treatment. Avoid chemical peels and other laser/IPL procedures in the area to be treated for 2 weeks prior your treatment. Avoid plucking, waxing, bleaching, and electrolysis treatments at least 2 weeks prior your appointment. Provide your technician with an accurate and up to date medical history and any medications you are taking in order to receive safe and effective treatments.

You might notice slight redness for a few hours following treatment. Mild discomfort may be experienced, to reduce any discomfort, apply ice to the treated area. For best laser hair removal results, after treatment avoid sun exposure (both natural sunlight and tanning beds). Use sunscreen whenever exposed to the sun. Avoid any IPL/ laser treatments or chemical procedures on the treated area for at least 2 weeks or more.
